ITS SNOWING IN WELLINGTON !! YEAH!!

Last weekend Peter and I travelled by train to The Chateau, sited within the Tongariro National Park. The weather was glorious, our room was great as was the food and the scenery.

We went for a 3 hour walk to the Silica Rapids, which took us up the mountain a fair way, with spectacular views of all 3 mountains plus a bit of beech forest following the stream with its silica deposits. Most fascinating.

Elliot turned 9 in May!
The Smiths celebrated their 60th birthday at Taupo with family and friends!

and then went on to dinner at Cafe L'arte!
A fantastic night.

Time to enjoy being together
and to perfect the art of boy throwing

and then a peace descends on the house as we all depart our seperate ways.

Then there was the real reason we were here - to finish lining and sound proofing the games room. Well done everyone for a great job done!
